Taste of Vermont
Thanks to everyone who attended and exhibited at the Taste of Vermont Legislative Reception! The event was a big success and we saw record attendance with over 300 guests. In addition to the eager crowd of hospitality and business members of the Vermont Chamber, many Representatives, Senators and other state-elected officials attended the reception. Governor Shumlin was there to kick off the event and we had 23 different restaurants, wineries, cheese makers and distilleries from around the state that provided some delicious samples of their products.
This year everyone had the chance to vote for their favorite dish for our first everPeople’s Choice Award sponsored by Foley Family of Companies.The Winners are:1st place - J Morgans Steakhouse - Lobster Mac & Cheese2nd place - Michael's on the Hill - Braised Beef brisket with Tamarind BBQ sauce and Mashed Potatoes 3rd place - Hampton Inn - Vermont Maple Mousse BitesThanks to all the exhibitors for their amazing food and drinks!We also gave out First Edition Recipe Books!If you did not get a book, please send me an email with your mailing address and we will mail one out to you.
