The activities to enjoy in winter include downhill skiing at Sugarbush and Mad River Glen, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sleigh rides and more. And in the summer we are right beside the Sugarbush Robert Trent Jones Sr golf course, a few minutes from the Vermont Long Trail, close to kayaking, convenient for biking, visiting the fascinating Shelburne Museum, and more. Of course there are many other things to do year round, including visiting renowned culinary giants like Cabot Cheese and Ben Jerry’s ice cream, touring waterfalls and covered bridges, and much more.
The B&B is located on a quiet country road nestled in a hillside forest, surrounded by its gorgeous perennial gardens. You can choose from 9 unique guest rooms and suites all with fireplaces, A/C, direct dial phones with voice mail, WiFi/DSL, TV/DVDs, and all with private ensuite bathrooms featuring Jacuzzis and/or steam showers. In the morning the sumptuous three-course breakfast starts with fruit juice, home made sweet breads or muffins and a specially prepared fruit dish. A tantalizing hot entrée will then give your taste buds an early morning treat. The menu of the day might include Sweet Pepper Scrambled Eggs, Breakfast Casserole, Ginger Pancakes with Lemon Sauce, Pain Perdu (French Toast) with local Mad River Valley Maple Syrup, Asparagus filled Crêpes or Granny's Cheesey Soufflé. Then perhaps pictures are better than words...
In the evenings for dinner you have a choice from among the many excellent restaurants within a few minutes drive from B&B.
West Hill House also hosts weddings for up to about 80 guests, as well as elopements for a quiet ceremony for just the two of you. It is also an ideal place for your wedding guests to stay to enjoy quiet and comfortable surroundings if your ceremony and reception are being held elsewhere in the valley. With its three large common rooms and dining room, it is also an ideal location for small business retreats.

For the 2012-13 Ski Season from December 15th to March 31st (note black-out periods below) we are once again offering you great prices AND flexibility. You can reserve:
- a 4-day weekday inclusive package including Ski the Valley “Passports*” for two for 4 consecutive week-days of skiing and 4 week-nights of B&B, or
- a 3-day inclusive weekend package including Ski the Valley “Passports*” for two for 3 consecutive days of skiing and 3 nights of B&B
(The weekend package applies if any day of skiing is a Saturday or Sunday.)
Both packages are the same price inclusive of taxes:
- Queen Room Package: $899
- King Room* Package: $999
- Suite Package: $1049 (add $30 per night for Paris or Logan Suites)
*Our King Room ensuite bathrooms have double Jacuzzi tubs.
The Lincoln Peak base at Sugarbush is just two minutes away by free shuttle bus from our front door and you can come back anytime during the day. Mad River Glen is about a 15-minute drive.
*The Passport also includes skiing at Olé’s cross country resort, and freebies and/or discounts at some restaurants and stores.
